ARGENTINA ORIGIN · SOYBEAN OIL

Soybean oil exports from Argentina

Discuss Argentine soybean oil (soya bean oil) for further processing, food manufacturing or distribution. Define crude, degummed or refined requirements, then request a quotation with quantity, receiving format and destination.

Liquid handling and export gateways

Crude, degummed or refined oil

For crude or degummed oil, agree free fatty acids, phosphorus, moisture and impurities. For refined oil, specify acidity, peroxide value, colour and end use. Analysis limits, processing grade and supporting documents are agreed for the offered lot.

Agree a suitable bulk-liquid or packaged format with the receiving facility and carrier. Tank suitability, cleaning and previous-cargo requirements matter. Greater Rosario/Paraná is a major Argentine vegetable-oil export hub; the actual terminal and transport mode are confirmed for each shipment.

Why source soybean oil from Argentina?

US$7.22 billion exported in 2025

Argentina exported US$7.220 billion of soybean oil in calendar 2025. The figure covers the soybean-oil category, not crude oil alone, and demonstrates an established international supply industry.

Oil buying parameters

Grade and use: specify crude, degummed or refined oil and its intended application.

FFA or acid value: state the limit, units and reporting basis; these measures are not interchangeable without conversion.

Phosphorus: agree a grade-appropriate target where required.

Moisture and impurities: confirm analysis limits and methods.

Peroxide value and colour: include the receiving specification, especially for refined oil.

Lot evidence: confirm processing description, traceability, sampling and certificate of analysis. Offered limits are agreed per lot.

Up-River ports and liquid shipment planning

In 2025, 92% of vegetable-oil shipments from Argentine ports left through Up-River terminals. This is a broad port statistic, not soybean-oil-only or Navoryn volume. Source: Rosario Board of Trade, 2025 port report (January 2026).

Discuss a suitable bulk-liquid or packaged format with your receiving facility. Confirm carrier-approved equipment, tank cleanliness, previous-cargo restrictions, sealing and unloading arrangements.

The quotation should name the loading terminal, shipment window and delivery basis. Freight and transit time depend on the actual route and shipment—not on national export scale.

Analysis, origin and documentation

Compare like-for-like grades and test methods. Request the proposed lot's analysis, agreed tolerances and any inspection arrangement. Confirm origin and traceability evidence; export from Argentina alone does not establish that every agricultural input was grown there.

Agree the commercial invoice, packing or weight details, transport document and any origin, food-use or importing-market documents required for that grade and destination. No certification or shelf-life claim should be assumed from a generic product description.

Turn your receiving requirement into a quotation

Navoryn's Buenos Aires trading desk reviews the grade and analysis you need, coordinates a proposed supply and discusses packing, documentation and shipment terms.

Send oil grade, intended use, analysis targets, metric tonnes, receiving format, destination port and shipment month. Compare the quoted product and delivered-cost basis before contracting.

Soybean oil buyer questions

What is the difference between crude, degummed and refined oil?

Crude oil is intended for further processing. Degumming reduces phospholipids according to an agreed processing specification; refined oil has undergone additional refining for a defined use. These grades are not interchangeable: state the required analysis and destination requirements.

Which analysis should a buyer request?

Confirm the grade first, then request the applicable analysis: free fatty acids or acidity, phosphorus where relevant, moisture and impurities, colour and peroxide value. Agree methods, tolerances and a certificate of analysis for the shipment rather than relying on a generic specification.

How is soybean oil packed and transported?

Bulk-liquid shipments require a suitable receiving tank and carrier-approved equipment. Packaged formats depend on the offered lot. Agree quantity, container or vessel suitability, cleaning, previous cargo, sealing and handling instructions before loading.

What information is needed for an oil quotation?

Send crude, degummed or refined grade; intended use; analysis targets; metric tonnes; bulk or packaged format; destination port; shipment period; and preferred delivery basis. The offered price, quality and documents are confirmed in the commercial proposal.
